Education/Certification
Certification: Nail Technician, Apprentice
Class hours: 525 hours
Apprenticeship (cosign): 1050 hours
Examination Languages: English; translator not permitted
Reciprocity/Licensure By Endorsement: If an applicant has a current license from another state or country where similar reciprocity is extended and the licensing requirements are substantially equal to those GA, the applicant may be issued, without exam, a certificate or registration at the appropriate level, unless the board see it fit to require a exam

Date: August 31, odd year
Required hours: 5 hours per renewal period; instructors: 15 hours
CEU (Continuous Education) Required? Yes, Tech with 25 years of experience or techs with proven hardship may request a waiver

Home Salon: Yes, if specific requirements are met
Mobile Salon: No
Licensing and Ownership Restriction: Must ensure licensed person is in salon during bussiness hours
